From The Hollywood Reporter

Based on the Ken Follett novel, “Pillars of the Earth” takes place during the 12th century in England.  The story deals with war, power struggles and two interwoven love stories.  Eddie will be playing Jack.  The rest of the cast includes Ian McShane as Waleran, Donald Sutherland as Bartholomew, Rufus Sewell as Tom Builder, Matthew Macfadyen as Prior Philip, Sarah Parish as Regan Hamleigh, Hayley Atwell as Aliena and Gordon Pinsent as the Archbishop.

The series begins production on June 22 in Hungary and Austria, slated to air during the second half of 2010.

Have just seen Robert Bathurst (English actor who also appears in this new series) being interviewed on British TV and he doesn`t know if this series will be shown in the UK. Can anyone tell me if it will be – loved the book and really don`t want to miss out on this one!!
