In the early summer of 1956, 23 year-old Colin Clark, just down from Oxford and determined to make his way in the film business, worked as a lowly assistant on the set of "The Prince and The Showgirl", the film that united Sir Laurence Olivier with Marilyn Monroe.

I took the time today to update the gallery a little bit and upload over a thousand beautiful screencaptures of Eddie in “The Yellow Handkerchief” which I loved. It’s a stunningly beautiful movie, if you can get your hands on a copy of the DVD you totally should . Enjoy!
Earlier this month Eddie attended a Summer Party at the Serpentine Gallery, here are some pictures.
Steven Spielberg finally decided on his next project last month, an adaptation of the Michael Morpurgo children’s novel War Horse. In a sign of forward motion, Eddie Redmayne (The Yellow Handkerchief) is reportedly “locked” for the lead role of Albert. The book tells the story of a boy, Albert, and his horse, Joey; the pair are separated when Joey is sold to the army, though not even World War I can keep them apart.
Here’s the synopsis of the book from Amazon.
In 1914, Joey, a beautiful bay-red foal with a distinctive cross on his nose, is sold to the army and thrust into the midst of the war on the Western Front. With his officer, he charges toward the enemy, witnessing the horror of the battles in France. But even in the desolation of the trenches, Joey’s courage touches the soldiers around him and he is able to find warmth and hope. But his heart aches for Albert, the farmer’s son he left behind. Will he ever see his true master again?
Warhorse is expected to be released August 10, 2011.
Plague-ridden medieval England: Bodies lie scattered in their hundreds, the country is in turmoil. One hope remains, rumours of a village that is unaffected by the deadly disease. As God’s ambassador, young monk Osmund (Eddie Redmayne) is tasked in leading the fearsome knight Ulrich (Sean Bean) and his group of mercenaries to the remote village. Their quest is to hunt down a necromancer – someone able to bring the dead back to life.
Here’s a short interview with Eddie and his co-star Kristen Stewart promoting “The Yellow Handkerchief”. Though the interview is very Twilight-centered it’s still worth a watch!
In other news, Congratulations to Eddie for being nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actor!
Also, Glorious 39 is being released on DVD on March 29th.
Since the updates on Eddie are a bit slow at the moment, I’ve taken the chance to screencap one of his latest projects, Powder Blue, which was recently released on DVD. I’ve added over 700 high quality screencaptures to our gallery for you to enjoy!
Warning – Contains nudity and film spoilers. By viewing the photos in this album you are agreeing that you are 18 years or older.
MTV.com has released a new clip from “The Yellow Handkerchief” in which Eddie appears along with co-star Kristen Stewart. It’s titled “Science Project” and it’s lovely, definitely worth checking it out! I can’t wait until the movie is out in theatres.
I’ve updated the Yellow Handkerchief section in the gallery with screencaptures of the official trailer, the clip I posted yesterday and the film poster. Enjoy!
