Eddie posed today next to the portrait of Richard II on display at Westminster Abbey. I have added the pictures to the gallery, enjoy!
Richard II by Michael Grandage opens on December 1, 2011 at The Donmar Warehouse.
Here’s some amazing news, Eddie will be playing the role of Marius in the film version of Les Miserables!
Hot off My Week With Marilyn, Eddie Redmayne has been set to play the role of Marius in Les Miserables, the Tom Hooper-directed musical for Universal Pictures that stars Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert and Anne Hathaway as Fantine. Universal has set the Working Title-produced musical for release in the center of next year’s Oscar race with a December 7, 2012 date. Cameron Mackintosh is producing with Working Title’s Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Debra Hayward. William Nicholson wrote the script and the music is by Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil.
A clip from “My Week with Marilyn” has surfaced! Remember the film will be released on November 23rd, who else is excited?

Eddie is still in New York and last night he attended the screening of “The Artist” as part of the New York Film Festival. He then was seen at the dinner to celebrate the aforementioned screening at a private residence. Take a look at the pictures!
Last night Eddie attended the after-party for the opening night of “We Live Here”. I have added some pictures to the gallery from said event plus a couple of new shoots, enjoy!
Eddie is featured in the November issue of Elle UK (the one with Emma Watson on the cover). Many thanks to my dear friend Paige who has scanned it and transcribed the interview for us!
It’s not just his good looks – he can appear, by turns, as a tousled hipster (he’s modeled for Burberry), the charming boy-next-door, an intense young poet, while never looking less than gorgeous – he also has the kind of charisma that makes him leap off the screen and into your imagination. He’s long been an industry favourite – not only for his intelligent taste in roles, but also for his attitude. ELLE cover girl Emma Watson, who stars with Eddie in the forthcoming My Week With Marilyn, says of him: ‘He’s wonderful. Such a great actor and such a gentleman – so kind. I’ve met a fair number of actors and he’s just different. In terms of decency and openness he’s just the best.’
He also appears in a small feature in today WWD’s magazine:
When asked if he’s ready for stardom and all that it entails, the actor said: “You never really believe that any of that is going to happen.…I love what I do provided I can keep working and continue to do both theater and film, then I’m very happy.”
